At ME Physio, we offer Clinical Pilates with a specifically tailored around you to get healthier and stronger. This means that exercises can be tailored for you and we can provide more attention and feedback whilst you exercise.
We have a number of Pilates services that can be done one-on-one or in a small group of up to four people. Your assessment and programs will be supervised and designed by our extensively trained physiotherapists who have undertaken additional training in Pilates. This allows them to combine their clinical expertise with the best exercises specifically for you.
Following a thorough assessment, our physiotherapists will prescribe and recommend a combination of exercises that are based around your strength, flexibility and endurance. Where required, our physiotherapists can prescribe exercises specific for your injury or injury history. This program will include a combination of mat based and reformer exercises.
How does Clinical Pilates work?
Clinical Pilates adapts and combines the principals of traditional mat based pilates. Combining breath, core strength, control and precision of movement, Clinical Pilates uses both mat and reformer.
It can be specifically tailored to your needs, medical history and past medical history. Clinical Pilates can reduce pain and assist with getting stronger and healthier. The benefit of using mat exercises and reformer, ensures that you can exercise at low impact which can reduce the likelihood of injury and allow you to exercise safely. This makes Clinical Pilates an incredibly versatile and beneficial form of exercise regardless of your level of exercise experience.

Can I claim my Clinical Pilates appointment on Private Health insurance?
Given that our physiotherapists at ME Physio supervise and program your Clinical Pilates program – you are able to claim Clinical Pilates on Private Health Insurance extras.
We are able to claim on-the-spot using HICAPs when you bring your card to your appointment. Where required or for prepaid packs, our team will provide you with a receipt with all details that will assist in claiming your Clinical Pilates through your private health insurer after the date of service.
What should I wear to Clinical Pilates?
Wear comfortable clothes that you are able to exercise in. In addition, we recommend wearing grip socks to allow you to get the most out of your clinical pilates exercises.
