Qualifications:

Special interest in podiatry · Active rehabilitation · General musculoskeletal conditions

Scott Rayment is an experienced podiatrist with a passion for helping people move comfortably and perform at their best. With extensive experience in multidisciplinary sports medicine clinics, Scott has an in-depth knowledge of sports injuries and musculoskeletal conditions affecting the foot and lower limb. He has managed complex injuries across both amateur and professional sporting environments, including athletes involved in netball (Suncorp Super Netball), basketball (NCAA and NBL1), soccer (NPL and FIFA Women’s), football (VFL, VFLW and AFL), golf (VGL) and Australian Athletics.

Scott holds an Endorsement for Scheduled Medicines (ESM), enabling him to prescribe medications and administer corticosteroid injections in-clinic. He is also an active researcher — his study investigating big toe joint osteoarthritis (1st MTPJ) on MRI was recently accepted for publication in a peer-reviewed journal, reflecting his commitment to the best practice and podiatry care.

At ME Physio, Scott leads our podiatry team and works closely with our physiotherapists to deliver integrated care for patients whose conditions benefit from both disciplines.

“Scott takes the latest and most effective approach to podiatry care to help his patients move better and feel stronger.”

What to expect with Scott Rayment

Scott takes a thorough approach to understanding your foot and lower-limb condition. In your first appointment, he will ask about your pain, your activity, and what you want to get back to doing. He will then assess how your feet, ankles and lower limbs are working — this may involve watching how you stand, walk or run, checking your joint movement and strength, and feeling for areas of concern.

From there, Scott will explain what’s going on in plain language and work with you on a treatment plan. That might include exercises, load management, footwear advice, orthotics or injection therapy — whatever is going to help you most. If your condition would benefit from working with our physiotherapy team as well, Scott can bring them in on the spot.

A little more about Scott Rayment

Outside the clinic, Scott is a proud uncle who loves spending time with his nephew. He grew up a mad Sydney Swans supporter, a passion passed down from his dad that’s stuck with him ever since. When he’s not on his feet running or at the gym, you’ll usually find him with his head in a good book.
